Please allow me to introduce myself: Following a career as an aerospace engineer, I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Washington in 1981. The objective and practical approach to problem solving that defines engineering has enhanced my functional approach to dental diagnosis and treatment planning.
For over 30 years my Longmont dental practice has been focused on addressing true oral health care needs as opposed to more optional and costly cosmetic procedures. However, I do incorporate esthetic design into restorations and other treatment that might be required to obtain or maintain a state of sound oral health.
My office is comparatively small, quiet, and unhurried, and I do all chairside procedures myself rather than delegate them to assistants and hygienists. You will have my undivided attention since I appoint only one patient at a time. Mine is a family dental practice in more than one sense of the word. When you arrive for your appointment, you will meet my wife April at the front desk who serves as my office administrator. She will make your appointments and process any dental insurance you might have.
I am a member of the American Dental Association where I served 3 years on the Dental Wellbeing Advisory Committee, the Colorado Dental Association where I served 3 years on the finance council, and the Boulder Broomfield County Dental Society where I served as president in 2008-09. I currently monitor other dental practices for the Dentist Peer Assistance Program of the State Board of Dental Examiners.
From 2006-2010 I was privileged to serve as a dentist in the Army Reserve, including a tour of duty in Iraq in 2007-2008.
I would be honored to provide the dental health care needs of you and your family. If you are looking for practical dental care in a comfortable environment, I think you'll feel at home here.
My office is located at 1055 17th Ave, #92, in Longmont, Colorado 80501. If you want more detailed directions, click here for a map.
